I think I found out what happened!!

Okay, after talking to so many people who have called about receiving a check with my return address on the fed ex package I think I have figured it out. A couple people who called at the beginning said they were selling something and thought this was payment for the item. So I started asking the twenty some other people who called and yes they all said they did or were trying to sell something on Craigs List. I listed something last year and never sold it. I have never bought anything on Craigs List though. So I think maybe the security at Craigs List has been breached or whatever it is called. Yikes!!!

I DIDN'T DO IT!!!!!

Okay, I am really upset. Yesterday a FedEx guy came to the house said he had a scheduled pick up from me (used my name) that was phoned in at noon that day. The hubby was home and called me, I said I knew nothing about it. I thought about it last night and thought maybe it was because I had called about returning some shoes I had bought online. Then today we have received over 20 calls from people saying they received a FedEx package with my return address on it and inside was a check ranging from $2000- to almost $5000. The check has different bank names on it and of course they are all bogus banks and the check is bogus. So we contacted FedEx, they would not give us any info about where the account was opened or anything else (I bet they wont be picky when it come to sending me the bill though). We contact our local sheriff's department and talked to a deputy. He took a report and said it would be maybe sometime next week for a detective to get back to me (nice!). So I have started cancelling charge accounts, put a freeze notice on the credit agencies and I don't know what else to do at this point but cry!! Whhhhaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!! I had to leave work early today to deal with this. This sucks - Any advice?????

Natalie the crafter!!!

Here's one of my little crafters with some of her creations. Natalie made the doll herself. She drew it out and sewed her up, made her clothes and did her hair. I stitched the face on her.

The quilt is awesome!! She wanted to make her teacher, who is having her ist baby, a quilt. I pinned and ironed and she manned the sewing machine all on her own. She makes me so proud. It is a beautiful quilt and I love the fabrics she chose.

Natalie is so awesome!!!

I am so discouraged, I have not had time to enter anything the last couple days and I have such great news. I need to hurry before Bernie kicks me off the computer.

First big news event: "The Game Production Handbook", the new book from our very own Heather Maxwell Chandler. You are awesome girl. I am so very proud of you!! And very, very impressed.

Second, more big news. Lori and Susan from Bayberry Cottage, you know the yummy wool that we all want, have put out 2 brand new patterns. I made Lori pose for a picture today with the patterns. Susan wasn't there for the photo op. Here she is:

Tomorrow is the Fall Open House at the Rusty Bucket (http://www.therustybucket.biz/) I have nothing to take. Well I actually do. I have some items already there and I have a few I have on hand to take. But I had hoped to have so much more. I make the crafty promise to be prepared at Christmas this year. So I made another hat pin cushion tonight, this one is much smaller and more "cottagey" . Bernie did not like any of the other ones but he says he actuallys likes this one. Here it is: (I have not learned how to set my new camera so the picture is not so great)

Well, it is time to get the little ones to bed. Maybe I will get motivated to do some Halloween stuff tonight for the show tomorrow.

Another rainy day!!

It is raining again!!! The kids are all off to school. It is Ident-A Kid day, you know where they get ID cards made of themselves. They are very excited. Alice has her head turned funny because she is showing off her curling pony-tail.

I'm showered and ready for another grueling day at work - HA HA just kidding, the only thing grueling is the drive and its not so bad. I love working at the quilt store, helping people pick out patterns and fabric. The only draw back I guess is that I already have a head full of ideas and working with others only adds more ideas and as we know, there is not enough time.

Bernie asked me why I started a blog last night and I told him it is a good way for me to ramble about things I care about and not bother anyone or bore anyone. He said what about the people who read it and I responded with, well they don't have to, that is the beauty of it, people out there can be bored with my conversation but yet I do not have to see their boredom. BEAUTIFUL!! But, I will try to make it interesting. I cannot guarantee correct spelling or grammar though. Well actually, I can guarantee correct spelling as I just found out, because I had misspelled guarantee and spell check fixed that.

I am actually wearing shoes today, not flip flops, real tie up cover your whole foot shoes. So very uncomfortable. I may bring my flip flops just in case.

Okay off to feed all the animals and then off to work. Later

OMG I misspelled 'misspelled'

One Hat Done

Well, I finished one hat pin cushion. As usual I have my doubts about liking it. I will have to think it over tonight and see if there are any changes I need to make. Here is a photo of it.

Rain Again!!!

Okay, normally I would beg for rain, but this is too much. It is pouring here again, TS Hanna left us with a river going down the length of our yard and it still hadn't dried out. It has been pouring buckets since we got home at 3pm.

I talked to my friend April today. It has been so long. I received a letter from her last week and it was great. We haven't talked in probably 8-9 years. LOVED hearing from her.

I have to work on some hat pin cushions tonight for a couple cool ladies. Actually, they are called Le Petit Chapeau, I have no idea what that mean, I never studied French, had a hard enough time with English. So the pin cushions are out of the Need'l Love book Purely Provence. Awesome stuff!! I love all of Need'l Love's stuff. For those that don't know this photo is from the book.

I am currently watching The Iron Giant with Alice so this is taking me much longer to type than I was hoping. I am hoping to start this blog to keep myself motivated to get moving on my crafting. I have so many ideas I need to get out. Speaking of ideas, I need to get to work on some hats. I will write again and try to make it more interesting. I am pretty scatter-brained right now. Later!!
