I hope you and your family have a joyous, blessed Christmas!

Can you believe it is almost here? I can’t. Are you ready? I am about as ready as I can get. Of course it would not be life if I wasn’t sick on top of it. Ear infection, man those things hurt. Hopefully the medicine will be kicking in soon and I will be feeling good.
I have to work the next 4 out of 5 days but I was fortunate enough to be off on Christmas Eve, I wont be so lucky next year. I am so excited right along with my kids about Christmas. We baked lots of cookies last night and ate lots of cookies last night.
So much has happened since I last blogged. We went to my Father-in-laws in Maryland and had our Christmas get together. That was so much fun. It made me miss living there this time.
While we were there my mother-in-law took me to a handmade ornament show at a place called Annmarie Gardens near their home. It is a wonderful place. I went there during our summer visit, they have a handmade show once a month called “Makers Market” and there are really fantastic artists who attend, lots to spend money on and all local handmade artists. Here is the awesome ornament I chose. There were so many and my basket was full but I could only get one.
Natalie had a chorus program at Campbell University that was fabulous. I know the picture means nothing to you since you cannot hear them singing but just pretend you heard them and it was great. Natalie is in the front row 2nd from the right, white shirt, with her hand on her face.
Next we had a new member join the family. Yes another pet, just what we need, I would have a houseful if I could afford them. Alice adopted a little Roborovskis Hamster, they are desert hamsters and only get to be about 2 inches. I really think this one is older than they told us because he is sort of big already. They are very fast little boogers.
As you can see he has already dominated the very docile Louise. Which is fine with her as long as he doesn’t wake her up. His name is Buddy (like Buddy the Elf). He likes me, gives me kisses but he will pop out of Alice’s hand in a heart beat so I am sure there will be many hamster searches going on.
I finished up a few more framed prayer stitcheries for a customer.
I finished up this framed stitchery for a new customer who has also become a great new friend. We have a lot in common, our love for animals being one. She has so many little critters like, Hedge hogs, a wood chuck, a sugar glider (super cute), and many more. I cannot wait for the kids to see them
And I am still working on a Christmas stocking for a friend of mine. I should be finished with it but with other orders and being sick and work, I have not. I just finished stitching it tonight, but when I took this picture it was not finished. I just need to add beads and then sew it together. So little Jake will have his stocking hanging next to his big brother Mason tomorrow on Christmas Eve – I am so happy.
I will post a completed picture on my next post.
The above is a delicious plate brought over to us by out next door neighbor for Christmas. She put my two days of baking to shame, which is why her platter is on here and not mine. It tasted even better than it looks. Even my favorite – Peanut Butter Balls – can’t have enough peanut butter!!!
I know this was another long catch up post and I keep telling you I am not going to get behind. I keep getting behind so maybe I will not say it any longer, I might just be jinxing myself.
With that said I hope each and every one of you have a very Merry Christmas! And maybe after all the festivities you will find some stitching time!!!

Even though I did not have a ton of entries I still used the Random Number generator just because I think it is neat.
I am so happy I was able to have this giveaway and it amazes me that some of you have stuck with me for so long. I truly appreciate you and enjoy each and every one of you. Thank you to those who took the time to enter and I wish I could send everyone a big thank you gift.
Amazingly enough, the winner is a local gal who I have know since I worked at the quilt shop in Apex. Her name is Lynn and she has a blog called Hey Boo (love that name!). So Lynn send me an email and let me know where you want me to send your goodies.
I have not slept for over 24 hours and I am falling asleep as I type. I was going to try to stay up until everyone went to bed but unless I get another energy burst that wont be happening.
I hope you all are having a great week and finding a little stitching time!!

I finished up two Reindeer last night, well more like this morning. I didn’t finish until about three this morning.
They looked sort of bland to me so I decided to spray them with a little glitter. I am not sure if you can see it or not. Maybe if you click on the picture and enlarge it you will be able to see it.
I also finished a special order this week for a framed prayer. I am really happy with how it turned out. I took a picture after the glass was in so there are some marks from the flash on it, but I think you can see it okay.
I hope you guys had a great week and are ready for the weekend. I know my week has been hectic. Don’t forget to check out my giveaway and there are a couple other giveaways I listed on my side bar that will be ending soon so check them out also!
Have a great weekend and don’t forget to find some stitching time!!
