A New Week

My first weekend off since starting the new job.  Man, what a week.  The regular 40 hour weekend and driving 75 miles a day.  I was very worn out by Friday.  I am not use to that.  I am not complaining because I actually enjoyed it but it was exhausting.  I start my regular shift this week, I am very excited.

I was able to complete just a few things to take to the Rusty Bucket tomorrow.  I hope to finish some more things this week.

I did  a couple more pillows, they seemed to be a hit.

I also finished up the “Primitive Youngins” quilt byPrimitive Pieces by Lynda (Lynda Hall)(www.PrimitivePiecesbyLynda.com).  It turned out real cute, it is reversed from the pattern.

A Big Change Has Begun!

What a day today was, it was the last day working at the quilt shop!  I have worked there since December 2006.  I have met so many great people, I will miss it much.  I love being able to talk to the gals (and once in a while guys) who come  in, quilters/fabri-holics they are like extended family, all (most) are so friendly.

I start training at my new job on Monday and I am so nervous.  Learning something new is both exciting and scary. Next week will be hard for me also because it is all day work (YUCK!!).   Keep me in your prayers and thoughts, I will need everyone's help getting up in the mornings.   I will not have time to sew or stitch or craft or blog or be with the kids (except for a little bit at night)  for a whole week.  It is going to be hard but at least it is for only one week.  My shift will be two nights of 3rd shift.  I have always been a night owl so that will be great for me and the rest of the week I am free from work (well work I get paid for anyway). Yippee!!! I am so excited.

I took my sewing machine to be serviced yesterday and it will be gone for 7-10 days.  I guess that was good timing since I will not have the time to sew.  I hope they are taking good care of her, she was in bad shape!!

Tisket a Tasket BOM

I finally finished up the next Bunny Hill Block.  It is not making me smile this yet.  I think it has a little too much going on, but I will think about it for a while.  Natalie came up with the idea of the buttons on the clovers, she was upset when I said I wasn’t going to put them on.  So they are for her.

Gail Pam Block #3

I finished the third block in this block of the month series. I sort or messed it up.  I was stitching it in car pool and could not remember which way the lazy daisy stitches went, well I put them in the wrong direction. I was going to change them but I thought maybe that would make mine a little different.  I guess it is already different since I didn’t use Christmas colors.  I guess I will always have to be the rebel!

New Stuff

Well, this blog is late but my computer has been out. Everything is working now and I think the viruses are gone.

I made some things for the Spring Open House at Just Country in Raeford, NC (www.justcountrync.blogspot.com).  A couple of good friends of mine were nice enough to take it there for me because I wasn’t able to make the trip.  Here are some photos of the items they took.  Some you may have seen before but there are a couple new ones.

New Free BOM

Hey gals, I located a another free BOM. It looks pretty. I posted the link so maybe you guys can get started. My computer is out of service so I am using our old computer and I cannot print anything out - I don't think this computer could handle another program installed on it. Hopefully, my other computer will be back in service soon, I am very excited about this and I miss it terribly. Well off to crafty, I have a Spring Open House to get ready for. Lots of work to be done!!!
