Busy Saturday

Is it just me or is it hard to put a title on your posts? I am having a hard time with it or it just may be tonight. One of my friends doesn’t put titles on, I am thinking that may be a good idea for me.

Today I worked at the Lone Star Mercantile at the Raleigh Flea Market at the Fairgrounds. The owner, Lisa, had to go to her mother who is very sick and she needed some last minute help at the store. My friend Sharon called me up and I went. It was fun. It has been almost 2 years since I worked retail at the quilt store and it was nice to do that again. But it was also dangerous. I had a big pile of stuff I was going to get and had to trim the pile down before I left. I only picked three things.

I got this great tinsel garland:

And this cute little box. Please excuse the dust bunnies on the floor I have not cleaned them in a couple weeks, oh my, yes I said a couple weeks. Shame on me. The box needs the hinges repaired but I got an awesome deal on it and I liked it enough I thought it was worth it!

My daughter Natalie will be twelve on the 18th and for her birthday this year she wanted a room redo. She got to choose her paint color and today her daddy took her to get it and they prepped the room while I was gone.

We ate pizza and then we ALL painted. I was the only one  who got paint all over themselves. This does not surprise me at all, nor did it surprise my husband.

So we had a fun day and now we get to end it with watching Camp Rock 2 for the 100th time. I do like the one little rhyming song the Jonas Brothers sing, one part goes,

“I like cheese, but only on pizza, please, sometimes on a homemade quesadilla, otherwise it smells like feet to me.” and another part “I’m not really into cars, I like really cool guitars and checks with lots of zeroes on them.” That is my favorite line.

Okay I think talking about Jonas Brothers songs is a sign of sleep deprivation so I must go :)

Have a great Sunday!! Remember to find some stitching time!

Hey Jen,
WOW lucky you, you got to hang out at Lisa's shop!

Super cool!

And I feel your pain about CR2, Mira loves that movie!

Have fun with the room re-do, I think Mira will be due for one soon too!
Hugs,
Kerri

I love your posts-they are so funny and I would have gone wild in her shop.

That is too precious seeing the kids painting the room- I wouldn't worry about mess but love the memories.

Hope your friends mother gets better. Have a blessed Sunday.

Thank you so much Donnie. I am not worried about the mess , probably because I am the one who made most of it. They had a great time!

I was going to come see you Saturday, but I had just returned on a red-eye flight that morning and was sleeping most of the day! I got my elves on Sunday, I was lucky I called you beforehand, or they would have been gone. They are supercute! Jack loves them:)
