Cleaning

When I get really stressed, like I was last week it is usually followed by a tremendous desire to clean up and out. So that is what I have been doing today. Well this afternoon. I slept in today – I will not admit to how late I slept but it is quite embarrassing. I thought I would share some pictures with you of how it is going. Here is what my living room currently looks like (but clean floors – I took this before I cleaned):

I stripped off all the covers from my couch pillows and the couch. I got the couch when we moved into our house almost 4 years ago from Ethan Allen, I love it. If it basically slip covered but not like one of those inexpensive ones that really don’t fit. It looks beautiful. I included a picture from the Ethan Allen site but they didn’t have a picture I could copy well. Here is my naked couch.

My husband came home for lunch and helped me move the gigantic TV off the nook. I hate the nook. I wish it was not there. I like to change things around and with the nook the TV has to stay in one spot because of the cable hookup. My husband, although helpful in many things, is not a handy man type of guy and will not move the cable for me. So I have to wait for us to have enough money to have the cable company come out and put new lines in.

I was still going to move the TV but when Natalie came home she began crying about me moving the TV. Really, crying over the TV being in a new spot. My kids have such traumatic childhoods Smile.

So I have cleaned the baseboards, the floors, the flat screen TV is out of our bedroom and now in the nook (for Natalie) so now it is time for me to rearrange the room and terrorize the children a little moreSmile.

Oh one more thing, I finally upgraded my Windows Live Writer and whatever else gets upgraded when your computer wants you to upgrade stuff and the Live Writer is awesome now. I have not had time to play around with it too much but I will later. If you do not use Live Writer to blog I would definitely recommend it, it makes blogging a synch and I was not and will not be paid for that, although it would be nice. When you use this : and this ) for a smiley face it automatically enters a smiley face like this Smile. Cool!

Off I go, I hope to find some time to do a little stitching tonight, I hope you do as well!!

Busy girl! It's always nice to have things clean and tidy! If only we were closer, I'd send my hubby on over to move your cable. I think you can get an extension for it, so you may want to look into that, if you can hide the cord.

It is funny that your little one got upset about moving the tv - How could you think of doing that! LOL

Have a great evening. PS I slept late too but won't tell either, as it's just not like me!

Wendy - Thanks, I wish you lived closer so we could craft together!! You also have a great night!

Donnie - you deserve to sleep whenever you want - that is what retirement is supposed to be about! I do have icyhot and therma care patches, they are nice. I use them on my neck.

I keep losing you from my blog favorites and it's been too long since I've visited. I'm impressed with your cleaning and of course all that you do. We have the same problem with the tv there is only one spot for it to go. That thwarts all my attempts to rearrange furniture.

It's has been forever since I've cleaned the house from top to bottom. We're starting to get attacked at night by dust bunnies. Or that is what the kids say when something else in the house has been broken. It is never any of them who do it!
