Quilt Aid USA

qausalogonoshadow

I have been looking forward to the Quilt Aid USA for months since I read about it. So many designers who I like are involved in it and I couldn’t wait for a chance to get involved with them and the charity. But it will not be happening. Quilt Aid will be happening but I cannot afford to do it. Bummer. Each block is twenty dollars and then shipping on top of that. One shop that is in it is charging twelve dollars for shipping? I was quite disappointed, not in the charity but just that I cannot afford to do it.

But for those of you that can afford it you should take a look at the website and what they are raising the money for. Good cause. So check them out at Quilt Aid USA. Funds raised from Quilt Aid USA 2010 will be donated to the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital in Ethiopia through the Hamlin Fistula Relief and Aid fund Australia And The Fistula Foundation USA.

The designers involved are Helen Stubbings of Hugs'n'kisses, Anne Sutton Bunnyhill Designs, Anni Downs of Hatched and Patched, Terri Degenkolb of Whimsicals, Inc., Brenda Riddle of Acorn Quilt and Gift Company, Sue Daley of Busy Fingers Patchwork, Lynette Anderson-O'Rourke of Lynette Anderson Designs, Kathy Schmitz - Kathy's Blog, Robyn Pandolph, Natalie Lymer of Cinderberry Stitches, Bari Sue Gaudet of Bareroots and Bronwyn Hayes of Red Brolly.

Back to work for me. It is raining here, I just feel like sleeping, but that will not be happening. Enjoy the day and try to get some stitching time in!!
