Working on Dolls

Hi all! I have been working away trying to finish up some WIPs and I finished two last night.

I love how they turned out. As you can see from below I have a lot to catch up on. I have four more elf dolls to decorate, I finally put their heads on. I could not get motivated with those little guys this year.

We received another package from my very good friend April in Japan. She was taking care of Alice’s Flat Stanley for a little while. You would not believe what she sent back.

For all those who don’t know who Flat Stanley is go to this link here. She made a book for Alice’s Flat Stanley. She used one of those black and white composition notebooks and filled it. Every page is of Flat Stanley going somewhere and history on the Japanese culture. The book is amazing. I think it really needs to be published. “Flat Stanley Learns Japanese Culture” or something like that. It is amazing, but I expected no less from April, she is quite amazing.

She also sent Kimono’s for the kids, wooden shoes, Japanese writing books and as you can see from the picture candy and treats. I had to fight to get enough for Alice’s class. She also included some great piggy stuff for me of course. She is so good to me.

Thank you April – you are the greatest!!

I wanted to share a couple pictures of Alice and Louise’ tea party. That dog is amazing. She will let these kids do anything to her.

She sat so patiently awaiting her sips of tea (water) from Alice.

Well I better get back to work. I have lots to finish! Have a great day and don’t forget to find a little stitching time!
