Martha Pincushions

001

I finished up four pin cushions this morning. I am pretty happy with three of them but I don’t think I am getting along very well with Miss Sassy Pants with the white shawl. I was having trouble with her, nothing was making me happy. Her earrings are vintage black tip pins. They were adapted from the pattern “Martha Pincushion” by Bonnie Totten of Country Loved Primitives. I had fun making them.

Tonight is my last night of work this week and tomorrow we are taking the kids to Great Wolf in Concord, NC. They do not know it yet. Gordon’s birthday is on the 30th of this month so we thought we would take them near his birthday. He does not like to have parties, he doesn’t like to be the center of attention, so we thought this would be fun for him and for the girls also. We are going for 3 days, two nights. It is sooo expensive, thank goodness for tax returns. I can’t wait to see their faces tomorrow when we tell them. I am looking forward to all of us having some fun. I am not looking forward to putting on a swim suit but I will get over that.

Anyway, I will be out of commission until the end of the week. I have not decided if I will take any stitching with me. I want this to be serious family fun time, just in case though I should probably though some in the bag.

Have a great week – I hope you liked my Martha’s!!!

Thanks Sharon - I like them a lot. Thinking I am going to sell them - don't know where yet though.
