So much going on!!

Wow – things are just abuzz around the quilting community here. One shop that has been in the area forever is closing, another shop moving in closer, another shop closing at the end of the year. I don’t know what is going on, but there will be three definite changes going on if the rumors are right. Can’t wait to see what happens. Everyone is so excited.

Yesterday  was my big day. After working all night I went in to have my root canal. After doing the root canal my dentist realized she could not save my tooth and had to pull it. Bad part is it seems my mouth does not like going numb so it was quite painful. My dentist is awesome (Dr Guanga – for those in the area) she tried very hard to save my poor tooth and tried her best to make it as least painful as it could be. I had to fib a little and say I couldn’t feel it because she didn’t want to hurt me. So I am toothless for a bit. I can handle it. It is in the back and not very noticeable.  I am in a lot more pain today than I thought I would be.  My tooth or where it was does not hurt anymore, so that is nice but I cannot open my mouth very much and where I had to have all the injections and such is very sore. I can deal with it because it is so nice to not have that constant pain from my tooth. At least I know this will go away in a couple days.

I didn’t get but maybe an hour sleep yesterday and then last night from taking the pain medication I was up until a big storm rolled through cleaning my quilt room. Pain medications makes me clean, or I should say gives me a lot of energy. So my room is clean. But the storm woke everyone up, the power was out and so the kids were up from about 12:30 to 2am then we were up at 6am to get ready for the day. I have had about 5 hours of sleep.

And now I am off to a field trip with Alice’s class to Historic Oak View in Raleigh.  I am very excited, well as much as I can be. I tried to go with Gordon and Natalie when they went but didn’t get picked to go, now I get to go!!  I am upset I still have not located the camera so I wont get to take pictures.

I decided to blog now because I know when I get home I know I am going to be real tired. So have a great day and don’t forget to find a little stitching time today!!

I feel for you on your tooth extraction. I had one pulled 3 weeks ago. Hang in there it will get better. Field trips are a lot more fun as an adult, I think. Have a good time.

Sorry about the mouth problems, I can certainly relate to all that..It is usually a couple of days before mine quits being sore...I had that crown prep work done two weeks ago and only got back to normal on Monday of this week...Now, I have to go back for the permanent ones on Monday...I think if I were you, I would buy a disposable camera until I found mine..I think you could get a disc when you had them developed so you could put them on your computer.

Oh 1st Bambina I do not want to tell you, you will be crushed. Rumor has it your favorite will be closing end of the year, that is what the owner is saying. But before you get upset Whistle Stop from Selma is moving to Cary in Dec and is very much the same store, better in my opinion because they also cary 30-40's which I like also. You will be happy with it I believe, here is their link http://www.whistlestopquiltshop.com/
