Fabric Destash

Alright so I need a little input from you guys. I was sorting the fabric that I have taken down so far and I am wondering how I should list it. Here are some of my questions that I would love input on.
Some fabric are FQs, 1/2 yards, 3/4 yards, 1 yards or multiple yards. Should they all be cut down to the same size? Should I list in groups or individual fabrics? I have a lot that are from the same line but different cuts and I also have pre cuts (jelly rolls, charm squares etc) Should they be listed with their coordinating lines. I guess I will play around with some groupings, I just would hate to cut a fabric that someone may want 1/2 yard or more of. If you have any ideas please let me know, I hope to put some on my selling blog tomorrow.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and was able to find a little stitching time! Off I go, Jennifer

I would not cut the fabric. some people may want a 1/2 or 1 yd...for multiple projects...
not sure how to group them. will have to sleep on that one. I do love the color of your studio walls even though you say it's too dark...my office/craft room is a deep rusty pumpkin color. When I get it straightened up I'll have to take a pic...it's small though....

Hi Jen - I would NOT cut the fabric! You could list some in groupings and some singly...whatever you do, it looks like you will be busy! Love your sewing room and the wonderful shelves.
Have a great day!

First, I have to say that your fabric collection makes me drool! I agree with the others . . . leave the fabric in large pieces. Maybe group the fat quarters into pretty bundles and list the larger pieces on their own.

Don't cut it...send it to me! LOL Honestly...list it in groupings and give sizes of the pieces. I'd love to shop your stash! Will you be parting with older Jo Morton Fabric?

I would be inclined to keep the biggest pieces in one piece, but on some sites groupings (fq's and charms) seem to sell well. Having enough to make a quilt or a project may make the move quicker.

Definitely don't cut the fabric. I would list by line if possible - people may be looking for a certain piece of fabric from a discontinued line. If you have time, put each one up as an individual listing (especially the larger pieces). For the fat quarters, I suggested creating bundles of 5 FQ each in coordinating colors or from the same line of fabric.

I'm like everyone else- do not cut! Let us know yardage and the like. If later you have some yds that don't sell but you want them gone maybe cut into FQ's.
take care
Kim

I would like to know when you are going to hold your Destash Sale. I am interested in getting ahold of scraps of red, black, and cream but don't know where to hook up with anyone. Thanks, Daisy
