I have missed you guys!!

It seems like forever since I have made a post. I believe this is the longest I have gone not making a post since I started years ago.  Life has not been exciting here, unfortunately I have not even been creative.  I have not been myself lately so I have not felt like sharing it with the world. Thank you for all those that were checking on me, I am alive just not myself.

I finished up an order for two of the “Peter Cottontail” pillows like the one I did before. My friend and owner of the Rusty Bucket, Pam, ordered two for her grand babies. My husband took them to her yesterday and I forgot to take a picture of them. I used different colors but basically pretty much the same pillow.

I had some good sales at the Rusty Bucket Spring Open House and I am very happy about that. Thank you to all of you that made it there.

I wanted to let you know that Jan Patek is having a pattern giveaway on her blog for the 150th anniversary of the start of the Civil War. Here is the quilt (click on it for the pattern link):

Lincoln's Platform Quilt

I still have these gals and two others awaiting completion. I promised my husband I would finish them Saturday night but we ended up having company which was much better than finishing dolls. I told him to give me deadlines for things so I will start getting more motivated – it’s not helping!

My friends Tim and Jeremy came by, they made the long trip out to the “sticks” as they say to visit.  Tim also bought some of my fabric stash to add to his stash. Tim just started blogging and it would be great if you could pay him a visit over at A Pug’s Yard. He is new to quilting and is very creative and talented. He was born to quilt for sure.

My girls are getting more creative every day. Natalie has started painting these little wood figures, they are so cute. Our camera is not fancy enough for me to get a good shot of her but she is very cute.

Alice painted this little guy, he is a “noodle dog playing ball.” I think he is pretty cute.

I started on my Christmas stitching, I know it is early but I want to have a lot done this year and I already feel I am behind. Both of these are redwork, of course, I love redwork!

Today in the mail I received this:

It is so incredibly awesome! I ordered a subscription and thought it was going to be a good magazine but did not realize it was going to be this great! I am so impressed with the first issue!

That is it for now. Like I said I have not been doing much. I have cut out most caffeine because of my Meniere's but now when I have caffeine it affects me even worse. And working third shift I need caffeine to stay awake all night, so for a couple days after I am nauseous, dizzy and feel very sick and exhausted. It is hard to sew when you feel like you are spinning.  I have my follow up appointment next week so we will see what happens. I am thinking I need to probably get a job where I don’t have to work third shift but right now that is not an option.

Thanks for visiting and don’t forget to find a little stitching time!

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer - I have missed you! I sure hope you start to feel better soon. It sounds like your lack of motivation is probably a combination of not feeling well, lack of sleep and just plain 'overload' from doing crafts. It's ok to take some time out and just do what you want to...it'll be there when you are more up to it.
Hugs dear friend. Blessings

Jennifer,

Even though I see you once a week at work, I missed reading your blog as well. I've been in a funk myself for the past few days. Maybe Kat is right, perhaps it's spring fever. Whatever it is I hope it works itself out soon. Your creativity inspires me more than you know.

Take Care,

Tim

Good morning, Jennifer
I have Meniere's disease, also...understand completely how you feel...I have been taking Phenergan every night for years and years...It seems to cut down on the number of episodes I have...
I stopped over to see Tim...thanks for letting us in on his creativeness.
Take care of yourself.
