Top is Complete!!!

I finished the top!  Oh my goodness that was not an easy quilt. I would not recommend it for a beginner. The picture does not do it justice. Maybe because I took it last night inside. Once it is quilted I will take another

I took a couple close ups so you could see the border fabrics a little better.

Now just to quilt it. I thought I had enough fabric for the back but I do not. I am going to have to buy fabric which I swore I would not do,  I will look one more time and see what I can come up with. Maybe I will piece the back.

It has been so terribly hot here. I don’t even want to go outside.  We have been walking every night for about a week as a family. It is nice for us all to have no electronic devices and just be together, even if it is for only 45 minutes. Plus we are getting into shape which we all need. I hope we stick to it because even though the kids complain when they start I think the enjoy it. Well, maybe not but I can hope.

I hope you all are having a fantastic week and are finding a little stitching time!  Jennifer

Beautiful job. I love the colors and pattern. Ahhh nothing worse then not having enough for the back. Once I didn't have a backing went tot he fabric store forgetting to take my top with me and picked a clearance fabric. When I got home made it and low and behold it was a perfect match. I think I must lean toward similar colors in general!

You can do it:)

Again lovely job!

Looks beautiful! Embroidered quilts are quickly becoming a favorite! I would try the pieced backing... it would compliment the patchwork style of the front nicely. Enjoy those walks! It's feeling more and more like summer here too! :-)

Your work is beautiful. It looks like you put a lot of work and love into it.
I'm sure when you have it all complete it will be stunning.
