Sigourney

I have weird dreams, I always have. The other night I had a dream about my kids mistreating a little critter in our barn, no, we don’t have a barn. Anyway, the little critter was sad looking, looked like a little scrawny half squirrel, half ferret type thing. I felt so bad for him. I couldn’t figure out why my kids would be cruel to such a helpless little critter, the dream actually felt more like a nightmare. I felt so horrible and couldn’t get the little critter out of my head.  While at work I sketched him up. I am not an artist but he is pretty close to what I remembered from my dream.

Sigourney from my dreams

Last night I drew up the pattern and stitched him up. It was a little hard for me trying to figure out how to do the gusset and all, I didn’t get it exactly right but he came out pretty cute. He spent some time sunning on the porch this morning and saw the kids off to school. By the way, the kids loved him and was very sweet to Sigourney (as he has been named).

I had stitched this eagle up and it was in a frame but I wasn’t happy with it in the frame so I made it into this pillow. I will be taking it to my booth today, even though it looks mighty cute in my chair.

I hope you are having a great week. I am so happy to be off today. I have so many chores to catch up on. Have a super day and don’t forget to find some stitching time!! I might need a little nap time since I was up all night working on Sigourney. Enjoy!
