Lincoln Wallhanging

Lincoln Wall hanging

So I finally completed my husbands wall hanging. I love how it turned out. I spent forever trying to quilt it, I wasn't happy with my hand quilting and kept changing the threads but still was never happy. I decided to quilt it on the machine and was happy, that is a first, I began and swore I would always be a hand quilter. Bernie was a little upset he wanted it hand quilted since it was hand embroidered, but oh well. I am very happy with it. I love, love the colors.

Last night I took Natalie to her school for a special PTO meeting, the 4th and 5th graders had a singing program about “Going Green”.  Natalie is the bravest little soul, she wrote a song and sung it in front of the whole school. She did awesome.  I would never be able to do that. The picture did not turn out so well but here she is:

We also had to put together really fast a project for school. She had to have a fruit and dress it up for Halloween. We had no fruit in the house (that is so bad). So I stitched up a banana really quick and we stuffed it and decorated her. She was supposed to be a “Goth Cheerleader” (which is what Natalie wants to be for Halloween) but she ended up a witch.

063That is all for now. I have been real busy in the craft/quilt room. More to come soon. Well maybe next week. We are going to Maryland to Bernie's dad’s house this coming weekend. Crabs and oysters – Yippee!!!!!!!!

Wow - your daughter is great - I could never do that either. That's one cute banana - that just may start a new trend - dressing up our fruits. Hey - I'm from Maryland - I miss crabs more than anything. Have some for me, maybe a crabcake too. And a fried hard crab - have you ever had one of those or a soft shell crab on a sandwich with the little legs hanging out and tomatoe on it - mmmmm. That's it I'm coming along.

I absolutely love soft shell crab sandwiches, yummy. I told my husband I am definately getting one. Come on for the ride, I will have to say it will be a pretty cozy ride, there are already 5 of us in a Toyota Corolla, but always room for one more!! :)
