UPS Came Today!!

007But not for me!! Alice has been patiently awaiting a package and today it came.008

Or I should say today she came.  Alice the Mini Pullip doll, the 4 1/2 inch cost wait too much Mini Pullip doll.

011 012

She moved right in to her home:023Kick her heels back and relaxed:028She like her bed linens but has requested a little something more romantic looking:031She cooked her own dinner:032And washed her own dishes:033Whoops, better lock that door next time:029She loves her sporty car:035

So I had fun with Alice and mini-Alice tonight. She is a cutey – well they both are!

I played around with my fabric the other day and pulled out some that I am dying to make something with them. I know they are dark but I like dark most of the time.022

I have a gazillion patterns/books but nothing had struck me as being right for these fabrics until I found this one:036I will have to add a few more fabrics but that is fine. I am not sure if I want to undertake another big project like that. I have so many blocks of the month I am working on that are appliqué.  I know you are probably wondering why I don’t just finish up some of the quilts I am in the middle of, but I can’t. I need to have a million things going on. I have about twenty to quilt now and maybe one day I may but I am ready to start something new right now, I need to start something new.

I did get the borders on the Fig Tree Miniature Houses quilt. I love how it turned out.018

We have had so many birds nesting in the trees around our home. My kids have definitely had their education of birds, eggs, incubation periods, etc. Here is the newest resident in the birch tree in our garden. Natalie is getting pretty good at taking pictures.005

Well I am off to do some planning for my next project. Thanks for visiting!!

That looks like a very Autumn project. I love the mini Alice and her house...would like to see more of it..did you make and furnish it.
Sounds like you like the piecing process but not the quilting..I'm the same way...I have two in hoops for hand quilting but can't seem to start on them...then I have the sampler one I just finished which I really want quilted..wish I could find someone who has a long arm and isn't too far behind.

Thanks you Mama Bear. Yes I would much rather piece than quilt. Good luck finding a available long armer - they are busy with the quilts from piecers like us. Alice loves her new doll "Alice" it goes everywhere, so it is a plus it is only 4 1/2" tall. Hugs- Jennifer
