What is going on?

Well, I worked last night and even though it was very busy, it slowed down enough for me to get a little stitching done.  Always a good thing to be able to stitch a little at work. I was able to finish up the last of the blocks for my Americana quilt.America Quilt 002America Quilt 001

So today I did a little sleeping since my husband was off. He is a good man, he did laundry, cleaned the dogs, watered the grass, stuff like that. He is an excellent man.

The kids and I just made a cake and decided to make a smaller version of the cake so we ate half of the batter before we cooked it.  We all now have stomach aches but it was so worth it. They are all ready to frost it, but luckily we have to wait for it to cool down, I don’t think I could handle it.

I went into my studio and was going to baste my Americana quilt and start quilting it when my excellent husband came in and said, I still needed to put a border on it. Ugh, I wanted to say - “You put a border on it,” but I realized he was right (as usual) and I need to put a border on it.  Of course I had already cut the batting, maybe I can use that for something else. So here is my studio:002

A Big Mess!!!

I have so many projects in the works it could drive a person crazy. If that is not enough, I located a large Rubbermaid tub sitting on my window seat and decided to empty it out. What was in it? Bodies, parts, lonely, unfinished dolls and make-dos waiting for some love:

Another big mess.  Natalie just asked me why I haven’t finished any of those dolls. She was nice enough to let me know I could make some money if I finished them up. Yep – she is right.

To conclude I have to say I have not finished anything but have much started, nothing new here. I do not feel bad about it, at least not tonight, I am still feeling a little lazy and the kids keep begging me to frost the cake. So, I am going to be a responsible mother and go frost the cake for my kids at 9:40 pm. Have a great night!

Where to you put the layers of your quilt together? This seems to be a problem for me...I love seeing other's studios, even when they are a bit cluttered...we all know how that happens and it just proves you're creating...else it would be neat as a pin.
Love that one that looks like a house, the nine patch with a roof.

Hey Mama Bear, Thank you!!! I usually baste the larger quilts downstairs on the hardwood floor, but for the real small ones I use the spray baste and just do a little section at a time on my table. Have a great day!! Jennifer
