Messenger Bag

The kids have a birthday party to go to this weekend so I was trying to figure out what to make for a present. The kids had some great ideas and what we decided on Messenger Bag pattern designed by Judi Ketteler out of the Fall 2007 copy of BHG Quilts and More. Judi Ketteler is the author of the book Sew Retro.

I ended up making two and also included a little zipper bag and tissue case for her.  I used Fig Tree Dandelion Girl (I think it is Dandelion Girl) on the gift bag.

The second bag did not photograph well.  I have noticed that the Mary Rose fabrics do not photograph very well with my camera. The pinks on the handle and bag body are the same color but for some reason they show up different.

I love the BHG Quilts and More magazines, they typically have very simple projects that are very quick to put together and make great gifts.  I would like to make everything in this issue.

Well, I might be calling it a night soon, I am having some bad tooth pain. I still haven’t gone and got my root canal so every now and then it causes some discomfort and/or pain.

I hope you are having a great week, tomorrow is Friday – it is almost over!!
